Burn ban lifted in Cherokee County
Cherokee County commissioners on Thursday decided to keep a countywide burn ban active, despite Wednesday’s rainfall, but they reconsidered Friday after several rounds of storms. The burn ban was ultimately lifted in time for the Labor Day weekend.
